All parts of the mobile steel crash barriers are developed and tested by employees at our own company. It took only a very short time for Peter Berghaus GmbH to develop a wide-ranging delivery programme for the greatest imaginable variety of mobile steel crash barrier applications in the field of roadwork sites. Each system has its own special advantages: the Pro Tec 120, for example, has the narrowest crash barriers and the STGW Duo-4 the lightest-weight steel crash barriers in the Peter Berghaus GmbH programme. The practical experience gained through daily interaction with mobile crash barriers on the part of our service partners is applied as soon as possible at the Company’s own Department of Research/Development/Production. Thanks to our trained specialist personnel and our specially-developed motor vehicle fleet, a daily output of up to 3,000 metres in context of mobile crash barrier installation are no longer a problem. For our new developed systems we use a high clearance above the road surface, this offers the advantage of avoiding the danger of potential aquaplaning such as can arise with completely closed-off systems. By the same token, build-up of material on the road surface is prevented because rainwater can flow down the barrier and wash away the dirt on the road, as a result of the high degree of clearance above the road surface. This means an "additional safety plus" for all road users, particularly at accident-prone highway construction sites. |
