Both the amended German Directives for Roadworks Safety (RSA) and the additional technical contracting conditions and regulations for safety on roads (ZTV-SA 97) stipulate that transportable protection devices shall be erected in roadworks areas on motorways to ensure the safety of contraflow traffic, to avoid the danger of falling and to protect the individuals engaged in work at the sites. For temporary use in the roadworks areas, the crash barriers made by Peter Berghaus GmbH comply with the requirements governing all ordinary applications in the area of highway construction sites, as specified in DIN EN 1317 Part 1 and Part 2. Thanks to our excellent logistics system, not just sales but also leasing arrangements are available on a Europe-wide basis.

ProTec 160
The new reinforced concrete crash barrier system ProTec 160 – the narrow mobile crash barrier that fulfils containment level H1 with low ASI value "B"!
Concrete and steel are combined in 10 m elements with a width of only 18 cm.

ProTec 120
The reinforced concrete crash barrier system ProTec 120. The crash barrier is an extremely narrow and compact crash barrier with high containment levels, optimum effective ranges and the lowest possible impact force level "A". Concrete and steel are combined in 10 m elements with a width of only 14 cm.
The ProTec 120 and ProTec 160 systems can be put to many different uses, for example between the construction site and on-coming or parallel traffic flows, or between flows of traffic in opposing directions (also in transition zones).

The Products

The Peter Berghaus GmbH company has been developing and producing mobile crash barriers for approximately for more than 10 years. The delivery programme currently includes four different types of mobile crash barriers, which have been successfully tested for the containment levels of T1, T2, T3 and H1. More detailed technical information can be found under the "Products" heading.

Certification

We have assembled all the information relating to collision testing with the mobile steel crash barriers under this heading. There, one has the opportunity of downloading appraisals from the BASt (Bundesanstalt für Straßenwesen – German Federal Office for Transport) concerning the various collision tests as well as the testing results of the KLB tests (KLB = lateral tipping limitation) in connection with steel crash barriers tested according to T1 and T2. In addition, one has the opportunity here of viewing video sequences of the collision experiments.
